Essential Strategies for Sustained Educator Wellness

In today’s environment, it is critical for educator well-being is critical to minimizing stress, avoiding burnout, and retaining and supporting great teachers. In this 15-hour, four-week, facilitated online course, participants will implement accessible strategies for their own and others’ well-being in eight key areas, Through video lessons, self-selected wellness activities, reflective discussions, and “office hours” for one-on-one support, Dr. Laura Lee Summers will share wellness strategies to support participants in developing an actionable self-care plan for personal wellness that transfers to school, team, and community.

Introduction to Standards for Professional Learning

January 23-25, 2023

The revised Standards for Professional Learning, released by Learning Forward in April 2022, provide schools, systems, and policymakers with a roadmap that leads to educators and students having equitable access to powerful learning. This three-session course introduces educators and policymakers to the revised Standards and the key frames that describe the essential content of adult learning, process elements of professional learning, and aspects of the professional learning context, structures, and cultures that undergird high-quality professional learning.

Powerful Practice for Professional Learning

This course for professional learning leaders and facilitators will help you design and deliver highly effective adult learning in both in-person and virtual environments. Ensure your learning designs promote the highest levels of learning and retention, and increase adult learners’ capacity to implement new learning. Expert Learning Forward Texas facilitators Trish Hinze and Terri Iles will lead live learning sessions, as well as provide asynchronous support and feedback as you complete a professional learning design using tools and strategies provided in the course.
