This 15-hour course provides an overview of a structured continuous improvement network model, which has a proven track record of helping systems identify and solve unique problems of practice. Leveraging more than a decade of Learning Forward’s experience facilitating networks that drive improvement in education, and designed for teams of education leaders at the system level, expert facilitators Michelle Bowman and Nick Morgan will help participants gain the knowledge, skills, tools, and strategies for creating a structured improvement network that will help them identify, and solve, a unique existing system-level problem.

Influence with Impact: Strategies That Support Change and Growth

Facilitated by expert leadership coaches Kendall Zoller, Chad Dumas, and Kathy Gross, this 15-hour online course will help you increase your credibility and strengthen relationships as you lead skillfully. Through whole-group sessions as well as one-on-one coaching, you will develop communication skills that contribute to credibility, rapport, influence, and impact. For those who run meetings, deliver professional learning, or present to groups, you will leave with the knowledge of how to structure powerful interactions with the skills of credibility, rapport, listening, and recovering with grace when things don’t go as planned.

Implementing a Coaching Cycle

April 17, 2023 to May 3, 2023

In this 15-hour, three-week course, expert coaches Heather Clifton and Andy Mendelsberg will unpack the coaching cycle as well as examine practice components of a planning conversation to set the stage for coaches’ ongoing work with teachers. Participants will illustrate and explain the components of the coaching cycle; synthesize a variety of ways to structure coaching cycles and how to determine which structure is appropriate to use in a particular situation; establish goals with a client for a coaching cycle; examine key supports including demonstration, co-teaching, and observation with data gathering; and identify key questions to ask during planning and reflection conversations.
